Autonomous robots can perform a variety of tasks in an unstructured environment without a continuous human guidance. Most of such have some degree of autonomy. A high degree of autonomy is particularly desirable in fields such as space exploration, cleaning floors, mowing lawns, and waste water treatment.

Our autonomous robot project main goal is to fabricate a fully autonomous moving robot able to transverse in a generic terrain and which may also radio controlled via a computer. An automatic GPS localization unit is mounted upon the robot enabling strategic decisions while a Z-cam will enable near region maneuver decisions.

Our robot platform is Andros, 4 degrees of freedom
